Malheureusement le moteur du jeu est trop vieux et ne suit pas pour faire tourner des mods intéressants demandant beaucoup de ressources (comme Empire At War Remake: Galactic Civil War qui montre clairement une version 'remake' du jeu mais rame). L'ajout de mod dans le jeu est un vrai + surtout grâce à la communauté actuellement active ajoutant encore plus de durée de vie. Le contenu de base, le mode multijoueur et le DLC Force of corruption rend le jeu assez diversifié avec une bonne durée de vie. Les niveaux de difficultés sont bien ajustés, il faut constamment s'adapté si on joue en difficile. La combinaison gameplay + univers Star Wars avec sa bande original en fait un excellent jeu pour son époque. Sans doute un des meilleurs jeux de stratégie auquel j'ai joué quand il est sortit et c'est peut être encore le cas encore actuellement.
